Death Race

The story of this film revolves around Carl Lucas which is portrayed by the talented Luke Goss and how he becomes the fearless racer known as Frankenstein in Death Race. Lucas works for a crime boss called Markus Kane who puts him in charge of robbing a bank, but Lucas gets caught and he is sent to jail. In the meantime, Wayland International owns the prison system and they are using it to create hardcore reality TV shows in order to create a profitable business. This is a business of death, money and mayhem.

Death Race (film)Image via WikipediaThe prisoners in this film are marked for death in a world where pain and pressure go hand in hand. Terminal Island Penitentiary hosts Death Race where speed and murder equals freedom. Lucas sees Death Race as an opportunity to be free, but his former employer wants him dead and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Lucas is stuck between a rock and a hard place as he has enemies both outside and inside the prison system.

The drivers of Death Race embody a sadistic world that want to forge a path of destruction. These men are vile, volatile and vicious pariahs of carnage thrust into a hellish race track of death. In the end this is a race fueled by an apocalyptic aggression that decimates anything in its path.
