Image via WikipediaThe prisoners in this film are marked for death in a world where pain and pressure go hand in hand. Terminal Island Penitentiary hosts Death Race where speed and murder equals freedom. Lucas sees Death Race as an opportunity to be free, but his former employer wants him dead and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Lucas is stuck between a rock and a hard place as he has enemies both outside and inside the prison system. The drivers of Death Race embody a sadistic world that want to forge a path of destruction. These men are vile, volatile and vicious pariahs of carnage thrust into a hellish race track of death. In the end this is a race fueled by an apocalyptic aggression that decimates anything in its path.
